With over a decade of experience in performance sports and mainstream teaching, I have developed a deep understanding of both the technical demands of various sports and the individual learning needs of athletes.

I recently had the opportunity of working with the St. George Illawarra Dragons First Grade team, where we focused on the role of breath control during breaks in play. The key benefits we observed included:

Recovery is a crucial component of athletic performance. Breathing techniques that activate the parasympathetic nervous system play a vital role in muscle relaxation, improved circulation, fatigue prevention, and injury recovery—all of which contribute significantly to long-term athletic development and longevity.

My workshops explore functional breathing methods designed to optimise oxygenation, build CO2 tolerance, and promote faster recovery between plays or points. These strategies empower athletes to perform at their peak when it matters most, regardless of the sport.
